Chapter I – Preservation and Permanent Access

Art. 1 Ciência da Informação Express adopts measures to ensure digital preservation and permanent access to its scientific content.

Art. 2 The journal uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system as its preservation strategy.

Sole paragraph. The LOCKSS system creates a distributed archive among participating libraries, allowing:

I – The creation of permanent copies of the journal's content;
II – The restoration of content in case of failure in the main system;
III – The integrity and authenticity of preserved records.

Chapter II – Final Provisions

Art. 3 The digital preservation policy is part of the editorial guidelines of Ciência da Informação Express and follows the principles of durability, accessibility, and reliability of scientific publications in digital environments.
